2.Walking Tour of The Historic Garrison and its Museum – A Military Story

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 23 reviews · from $30Best value

Meet at the Barbados Museum for a guided walk through Barbados’ Garrison Historic Area. Guides such as Zachary, Deborah, and Kristin share military, colonial, and local stories, including George Washington’s visit and the Grand Stand. You receive water, snacks, and a headset, with the tour ending where it began.

“We had passed this area several times before and assumed it was just about horse racing. It is actually part & parcel of British military history as well as the existence of Roundheads and Royalists and why there was the emigration to this colony as it was then.. History from a knowledgeable Guide. Cromwell may not have come here but others did. We toured the Garrison area and ended up in the Museum. Water and snacks, stops in the shade by our considerate Guide, made this a rather enjoyable Tour.”
